document.writeln('selected today leave much room for reflective thought. The first is an  example ');
document.writeln('of how&nbsp;after one has handed all their problems to God and prayed we  should ');
document.writeln('trust Him. How soon is it when things are not going the way we expect we  assume ');
document.writeln('that God hasn\'t heard, has perhaps ignored us or is punishing us&nbsp; -  when in ');
document.writeln('fact He has a better plan. "Don\'t worry pray" (Phil 4:6) "Cast thy  burdens upon ');
document.writeln('the Lord and he shall sustain thee; .." (Psalm 55:22) "His ways are not  our ');
document.writeln('ways" (Isaiah 55:8) "All things work together for Good .." (Rom 8:28)  (All ');
document.writeln('paraphrased)</DIV></DIV></DIV>');
document.writeln('<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>');
document.writeln('<DIV>The second message is an example of how God loves to answer humble,  honest ');
document.writeln('&amp; simple prayer requests. Note the first man prayed selfishly &amp;  did not ');
document.writeln('consider his friend at all. Whilst the second mans prayer was so  simple&nbsp;- ');
document.writeln('note no long dialogue - however he neglected to ask for his own  needs.&nbsp;" ');
document.writeln('.... Ask &amp;&nbsp; it shall be given you; ..... (Luke 11:9-12). Jesus  gave us ');
document.writeln('a framework for prayer take time today to read &amp; reflect on  the&nbsp;Lords ');
document.writeln('prayer above or in your own time read in your bible Mathew 6: 5-15 &amp;  Luke ');

document.writeln('<DIV><FONT size=4><STRONG>Burning Hut!</STRONG></FONT><BR><BR>The only  survivor ');
document.writeln('of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island.<BR><BR>He  prayed ');
document.writeln('feverishly for&nbsp; God to rescue him.<BR><BR>Every day he scanned the ');
document.writeln('horizon&nbsp; for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted,&nbsp;he ');
document.writeln('eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect Him  from ');
document.writeln('the elements, and to&nbsp; store his few possessions.<BR><BR>One day,  after ');
document.writeln('scavenging for food, he arrived home&nbsp; to find his little hut in  flames, ');
document.writeln('with smoke rolling&nbsp; up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, ');
document.writeln('and&nbsp;everything was lost. </DIV>');
document.writeln('<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>');
document.writeln('<DIV>He was stunned with disbelief,&nbsp;grief and anger. He cried out,  "God! ');
document.writeln('How could you do this to me?"<BR><BR>&nbsp;Early the next day, he was  awakened ');
document.writeln('by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to  rescue&nbsp; him! ');
document.writeln('"How did you know I was here?" asked the weary&nbsp; man of his  rescuers. "We ');
document.writeln('saw your smoke signal,"&nbsp; they replied.<BR><BR>&nbsp;<STRONG>The  Moral of ');
document.writeln('This Story:</STRONG><BR><BR>&nbsp;It\'s easy to get discouraged when  things are ');
document.writeln('going bad, but we shouldn\'t lose heart, because God is at&nbsp; work in  our ');
document.writeln('lives, even in the midst of our pain and&nbsp; suffering. Remember that  the next ');
document.writeln('time your little&nbsp;hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may  be a ');
document.writeln('smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.</DIV>');

document.writeln('<DIV><STRONG>Remember: "Nothing is impossible with God"</STRONG></DIV>');

document.writeln('<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>');
document.writeln('<DIV>A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of  the men ');
document.writeln('on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.<BR><BR>The two ');
document.writeln('survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other  recourse ');
document.writeln('but to pray to God.<BR><BR>However, to find out whose prayer was more  powerful, ');
document.writeln('they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite  sides of ');
document.writeln('the island.&nbsp;The first thing the&nbsp;first man&nbsp;prayed for was  food for ');
document.writeln('himself.<BR><BR>The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree  on his ');
document.writeln('side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man\'s  parcel of ');
document.writeln('land remained barren.<BR><BR>After a week, the first man was lonely and  he ');
document.writeln('decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and  the only ');
document.writeln('survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land.&nbsp;On the other  side of ');
document.writeln('the island, there was nothing.<BR><BR>Soon the first man prayed for ');
document.writeln('a&nbsp;house, clothes, and more food. The next day, all of these were  given to ');
document.writeln('him. However, the second man still had nothing.<BR><BR>Finally, the  first man ');
document.writeln('prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In  the ');
document.writeln('morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island.<BR><BR>The  first man ');
document.writeln('boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on  the ');
document.writeln('island.<BR><BR>He considered the other man unworthy to receive God\'s  blessings, ');
document.writeln('since none of his prayers had been answered.<BR><BR>As the ship was  about to ');
document.writeln('leave, the first man heard a voice from Heaven booming, "Why are you  leaving ');
document.writeln('your companion on the island?"<BR><BR>"My blessings are mine alone,  since I was ');
document.writeln('the one who prayed for them," the first man answered.&nbsp;&nbsp;"His  prayers ');
document.writeln('were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything."<BR><BR>"You  are ');
document.writeln('mistaken!" the voice rebuked him. "He had only one prayer, which I  answered. If ');
document.writeln('not for that, you would not have received any! of my blessings.</DIV>');
document.writeln('<DIV><BR>"Tell me," the first man asked the voice,&nbsp;"What did he  pray for ');
document.writeln('that I should owe him anything?"<BR><BR><STRONG>"He prayed that all your  prayers ');
document.writeln('be answered."</STRONG><BR><BR>For all we know, our blessings are not the  fruits ');
document.writeln('of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for ');
document.writeln('us.&nbsp;<BR><BR><STRONG>My prayer for you today is that all your  prayers are ');
